Santosh Farm

Up here at 4-17-43 in M V Peta, we run Santosh Farm. It’s located in the Patipalli area. Farming is hard work and it never really stops, no matter the day. We are up before the sun most mornings to get things started before it gets too hot. There is always a fence to fix or something that needs watering. The land here is decent, but you have to put in the effort to keep it that way year after year. We don't have any big corporate backers or anything like that. It’s just us and the dirt and the seasons. M V Peta is a small community where people still look out for each other when things get tough. Sometimes the crops are good and sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate at all, but we just keep at it. Our place isn't anything you'd see in a fancy magazine. It’s a working farm with all the mess and noise that comes with that kind of life. We have some old equipment that we keep running with a bit of grease and some luck. People come by to see what we have or just to talk about how the harvest is looking. We don't spend much time inside the house. Most of our life is spent outdoors in the sun and rain. It can be exhausting. But there is a certain rhythm to the work that feels right. We don't have big plans. We just want to keep the farm going.
