Sai Venkata Bangles & General Stores

Sai Venkata Bangles & General Stores is a bit different from your average grocery shop because we carry a lot of colorful items alongside the daily necessities. You can find us at Door No 47-4-9 in Dwaraka Nagar, Visakhapatnam, right in the Nehru Bazzar area near Venkata Ramana Hospital. The front of the shop is usually bright with bangles and small trinkets that catch the eye of anyone walking by. Inside, though, we have the usual general store items too. It’s a mix of things, which makes the work interesting. One minute we’re helping someone pick out the right shade of glass bangles, and the next we’re selling a bottle of hair oil or a packet of salt. The hospital being so close means we get a lot of people passing through who aren't from this exact neighborhood, along with our regulars. The bazaar is always loud and full of life, and our shop is just one small part of that bustle. We have to be very careful with how we stack things because space is tight, and bangles are fragile. We spend a lot of time cleaning the glass cases and dusting the shelves. It’s a family-run kind of thing, and we’ve gotten used to the long hours and the constant chatter of the marketplace. We just keep at it, making sure we have what the local people and the visitors need.
