Our shop is Sai Ganesh Kirana General Stores and you can find us at 26-14-13/1 in Gajuwaka. We are right opposite R.K. Hospital, which is lucky because people use the hospital as a landmark to find this part of Visakhapatnam. The neighborhood here is 530026 and it stays pretty busy from morning until late at night. We open up early because the hospital area starts moving before the sun is even fully up. The shop is filled with all the usual kirana items you'd expect. We have bags of rice and lentils sitting on the floor and rows of small jars on the wooden shelves. It’s not a very modern place, just a practical store where we know where everything is kept. The air in Vizag can be quite humid, so we keep the door open to let whatever breeze there is come inside. Sometimes the hospital visitors come in looking for something small, and other times it's just our regular neighbors from Gajuwaka getting their weekly supplies. We do a lot of lifting and moving things around to keep the floor clear. The counter is old and has a few scratches on it from years of use. We don't really think much about it, we just come in and do the work every day. It’s a lot of counting change and writing things down in our register. That is how we spend our time here.
