Safety Officer

My name is on the door as a safety officer here in Visakhapatnam. The address is 65-5-446 in Gullalapallem, which is part of the Vuda Colony in Shriharipuram. It’s near the Malkapuram post office. This part of AP is very industrial, so there is always a lot of work for someone in my line of business. I spend my days walking through various sites and making sure the rules are being followed. It’s not always easy because workers are often in a hurry to finish their tasks. I have to be the one to tell them to slow down and do it right. My office in Vuda Colony is pretty basic. I have a desk, a couple of chairs, and a lot of safety posters on the walls. I’ve lived in Vizag most of my life, so I’m used to the sea air and the noise from the docks. Shriharipuram is a busy area, and I like being right in the middle of it. I don't have a big team or a fancy car. I just take my bike to the sites and do my inspections. It’s practical work. I don't use complicated software; I just use my eyes and a clipboard. If I see something wrong, I point it out and we fix it then and there. It’s a simple way to work, but it’s effective. I’m just a local guy doing what I can to keep people safe at work. It keeps me busy and I like the people I meet.
