R K Hospital

Our place, R K Hospital, sits right here in Chaitanya Nagar. It’s a busy part of Gajuwaka, so there is always a lot of noise outside from the traffic and people walking by to the market. We don’t have any fancy glass walls or anything like that. It is just a practical building where we show up every morning. Usually, the first thing we do is open the big front doors and get the fans going because it gets pretty warm here by ten. You can find us easily enough if you know the neighborhood. Most of the people who come in are from just a few streets over. We know a lot of their names by now. There’s a tea stall just down the road that everyone goes to during their breaks. The waiting area has these wooden benches that have been there since we opened. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to switch over to the backup, which makes a bit of a humming sound. We keep things simple because that’s what works for us. The walls are painted a light color, and we try to keep the floors scrubbed down as much as possible. It is just a normal day-to-day operation. We don’t really do big advertisements. People just know we are here in Gajuwaka if they need something. It’s a plain place, but it’s our place, and we are used to the rhythm of this street.
