Pipavav Shipyard Ltd.

We are located over at Flat No. 6 in the Vysakhi Nivas building, right in the heart of Doctors Colony here in Seethammadhara. If you know Visakhapatnam well, you know this part of town is usually pretty busy with people coming and going. Our setup here is a bit different than the big docks since we handle things from a residential-style office building. Pipavav Shipyard Ltd. has its main operations elsewhere, but this spot in Vizag is where we keep track of things and handle local matters. It’s a practical place to work from. We’ve been at this address, 55-43-16/8, for some time now. People sometimes find it a bit tricky to find the right flat at first, but once you’re inside, it’s just a normal workspace where we get our daily tasks done. There isn’t anything fancy about the office. We deal with a lot of paperwork and coordination regarding the ships and the shipyard work. It’s mostly just us sitting at desks, making calls, and checking schedules. Being in Andhra Pradesh, we are close to the coast which makes sense for what we do. The neighborhood is mostly quiet during the day except for the local traffic. We don’t really do any of the actual heavy lifting or ship building right here in the apartment, obviously. That happens at the yards. Here, it is all about the management side of the business and making sure things run like they are supposed to without too much trouble.
