Nitish Kirana & General Store

You can find Nitish Kirana & General Store at S.No.48-1-19, which is right on Reddy Hospital Road in Visakhapatnam. Being in the Srinagar area, we get a lot of foot traffic from people going to or coming from the hospital. The shop is a bit small, but I try to squeeze in as much as possible because you never know what someone might need at the last minute. We keep the usual general store items like soap, toothpaste, snacks, and the basic groceries. Visakhapatnam is a humid place, so the ceiling fan is always running at full speed, though it doesn't always help much in the afternoons. I have been here for a while and the locals in 530016 know me by name. It is not a big corporate store with bright lights; it is just a place with wooden shelves and a tiled floor that has seen better days. Sometimes my nephew comes in to help me when I need to go get more supplies. The street outside is usually busy with autos and scooters, and the noise never really stops until late at night. I like being part of the Srinagar community. It is honest work and it keeps me busy from morning until evening. Most of my customers are just regular folks from the neighborhood looking for a bag of sugar or some tea leaves for their morning break. It is just how things go.
