This branch of the National Dairy Development Board,Mumbai is situated along Lothugedda Road in Pachipenta. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here, but the scenery makes up for it. We’re tucked away in a spot where you can actually hear the birds instead of just car horns all day. The building is simple, just a place for us to keep our records and meet with the local farmers who bring in their reports. We spend a lot of time talking about cattle and milk yields. It’s not the kind of job where you wear a suit and tie. Most days, we’re in sturdy boots and plain clothes because the road can get muddy. Inside, we have some old metal cabinets and a few desks that have seen better days. We don't have the latest gadgets, just what we need to get the work done. The power goes out now and then, so we’ve learned to work around it. Pachipenta is a quiet place, and we’ve become part of the local rhythm over time. People know us as the dairy folks down the road. We just try to keep things running smoothly and help out where we can. It’s a slow-paced life, but there is plenty to do if you look for it. We're just here, doing the daily tasks on Lothugedda Road. It’s a long way from the city, but we like it that way.
