Our office is situated in the Salagrampuram area of Visakhapatnam. We are specifically in the Port Quarters, block 9/94, which is a type-3 unit. It’s a very specific part of the city near the port activities. Being in the quarters means it’s a government-style residential area, so it’s quite orderly but also a bit quiet during the working hours. We handle gypsum-related tasks for this region from here. The office is basically one of the residential units converted into a workspace. It’s got a small veranda where we sometimes sit to take a break when the weather is nice. The Vizag weather can get pretty humid, so we keep the windows open for the breeze. There’s a lot of greenery around the block which makes it a pleasant place to be. We aren’t a big commercial showroom; it’s more of a functional hub for our local staff members. We keep a few chairs for visitors, but mostly we are busy on our laptops or the phone. The port is very nearby, so you can sometimes hear the distant horns of the ships coming in. It’s a steady kind of life here. We follow a regular routine, starting at nine and finishing up by the evening. The neighbors are mostly port employees and their families. It’s a decent spot for us to manage our operations without the chaos of the main city center. We just do our bit, keep the records straight, and help people out when they call us.
