Mahaveer Tours Travels

You can find us over on 48-7-31/2, right in the lane near the Old Vegetable Market. It’s a busy place, especially in the mornings when the vendors are still clearing out their stalls. Mahaveer Tours Travels is just a small office tucked away there. We spend most of our time on the phone or looking at schedules. People come in wanting to go to all sorts of places, some nearby and some pretty far away. The walls are covered with old maps and some calendars from a couple of years ago that we never took down. It gets noisy with all the scooters and carts passing by outside. Sometimes the smell of the market is really strong, especially when it’s humid. We try to keep the chairs comfortable for people waiting, but they’re just basic plastic ones. It’s mostly just us trying to figure out the best routes and making sure the drivers know where they’re going. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years, but the market lane stays pretty much the same. We don’t have a website that works all that well, so most folks just walk in or call the landline. It’s a bit chaotic, but we like the energy of the market. We just keep things moving and hope the traffic isn't too bad for the buses.
