Larsen & Toubro Ltd;Ecc Construction Division

Our office is located in Seethamadhara, over in the K.R.M. Colony part of Visakapatnam. We are the Ecc Construction Division for Larsen & Toubro Ltd. The address is Door No 53-34-07, and it’s a pretty easy place to find if you know the neighborhood. It isn't a fancy high-rise building. It’s more like a regular house that’s been turned into a workspace. We have desks set up in the different rooms and a lot of maps and charts on the walls. Being in Andhra Pradesh, we deal with a lot of heat, so the fans are always going. There are usually about ten of us in here at any given time, mostly focused on the local construction sites. We handle the hiring and the materials and all the little details that people don't usually see. It gets pretty hectic on Monday mornings when everyone is trying to figure out the week's schedule. We don't have a polished corporate look. There are stacks of paper everywhere and the floor is usually a bit dusty from people coming in from the sites. But we get the work done. It’s a practical way to run things. We’ve been part of the community here for a while now and we just focus on our tasks day by day. It’s a lot of coordination, but we have a good rhythm established now.
