At Lalithaa Organic Foods, we spend our days at 48, Nakkireddy Vari Veedhi in V.Madugula. It’s a quiet enough street compared to the bigger cities. We focus on organic stuff because that's what we decided to do, but we aren't trying to change the world or anything. We just sell what we have. The building is right on the Main Road, so people find us pretty easily. It’s a bit of a trek for some, but the local folks know us well. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of the items coming in. Since it's organic, things can be a bit temperamental with the shelf life. We don't have a big office with suits; it’s just a regular workspace with some desks and a lot of storage. The staff here grew up around V.Madugula. We talk in the local language and keep things very informal. There’s no dress code or corporate rules. If someone needs help, we help them. Sometimes the rains make the road outside a bit muddy, but we just deal with it. We don't put out ads in the paper. People come because they like what we have on the shelves. It’s a slow and steady kind of business. We’re just trying to keep the place running and make sure the accounts are done at the end of the month. It's a living.
