Kusuma Hospital

Kusuma Hospital is right there in Gajuwaka, specifically beside the Kanya Theatre. That theatre is a big spot for people in this part of Visakhapatnam, so there are always crowds and a bit of noise from the movie-goers. It’s a busy location, and our hospital is right in the thick of it. The entrance is usually crowded with people coming in for appointments or visiting relatives. Inside the hospital, things are pretty standard. We have the reception area, some narrow hallways, and the various wards where people stay. It’s a functional building, built more for use than for looking pretty. The staff are always on their feet, moving between the different floors. You can hear the sounds of the city outside—the buses, the motorbikes, and the general chatter of the street. Sometimes the smell of popcorn from the theatre next door drifts over in the evenings. We’ve been operating here for years, and the place has a worn-in feel to it. It’s not one of those new corporate hospitals with a cafeteria and a gift shop; it’s just a place where medical work gets done. People from all over Gajuwaka come here because they know the location so well. We just keep our heads down and handle the daily flow of patients as they arrive. There is always someone at the desk and something to be done around the place. It's a busy life here in this part of town.
