Kiran Kumars Surgical Clinic

Poorna Market is a loud place. Our clinic, Kiran Kumars Surgical Clinic, is tucked in near the Durgalamma Temple. You can usually hear the bells from the temple while you’re sitting in our waiting room. Ramachandraji Medicals is right across from us, which is handy when people need to pick up things after seeing the doctor. It’s a surgical clinic, so we deal with things that need a bit more than just a bandage. The space is a bit cramped because the market is so crowded outside, but we make it work. There’s a desk where the files are kept, and they’re mostly paper files tucked into folders. The floor is tiled and we try to keep it clean, though people track in dust from the street all day long. Dr. Kiran Kumar is usually busy in the back. We have a few assistants who help out with the patients. It’s not a big hospital, just a clinic for surgeries and checkups. People come in from the market with their shopping bags sometimes, looking for a consultation. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so the fans are always going at full speed. We’ve been here long enough that most of the shopkeepers nearby know us by name. It’s just a normal part of the neighborhood here in Poorna Market and we focus on getting our patients sorted out.
