About Indian Express – Transportation & Logistics in Visakhapatnam
Our place is over in the Revathi Hills Apartment, right in Balayya Sastri Layout. It’s a nice enough spot in Vizag. We’re in Flat 302. Working for a name like Indian Express means there’s always news coming in or some kind of deadline we’re trying to meet. It’s not like a big TV newsroom you see in movies. It’s more of a quiet office where people sit and write or check facts. We’ve been in this part of Andhra Pradesh for a while. The layout is mostly houses and other apartments, so it doesn’t feel too much like a cold business district. We have coffee together in the mornings and then get to work. Sometimes we’re here late when a story is breaking or if there’s a big event in the city. The apartment is comfortable enough, though we’ve definitely outgrown the space a bit with all the archives and old papers lying around. It feels more like a home than an office sometimes, which I think makes the writing better. We know the neighbors and the local shops nearby. People around here know us as the newspaper folks. We just try to get the stories right and get the paper out on time. It’s a lot of typing and talking on the phone, but we enjoy being part of the local community here in Vizag. It's just what we do every single day.
