We are located out in Srirampuram Village, which falls under the R.G. Peta Post in the L. Kota area. It’s a very rural setting, quite far from the noise of the big cities. The office is really just a part of the family property, run by the son of Kannayya. Life out here moves at a different pace. We deal with building supplies, so there are usually stacks of materials out in the yard and plenty of dust everywhere. It’s a small operation and we handle most of the heavy lifting ourselves. The surroundings are mostly fields and small houses, so it's quite peaceful most of the time. We don't have a website or anything like that. Most of our work comes from people in the neighboring villages who know where to find us. We spend a lot of our time outside rather than sitting behind a desk. The sun can be quite brutal in the afternoons, so we usually take a long break when it’s at its peak. It’s a simple life and a simple business. We don't use any fancy management systems; everything is recorded in our ledgers by hand. It’s the way things have been done here for a long time. We just try to be fair and do a good day's work before the sun goes down and we head back inside. It can be hard work, but being part of the village community makes it worth it for us.
