Sree Ramakrishna Alloys Ltd.

Our place is out in Ida Paravada, over at plots 75 and 76. Sree Ramakrishna Alloys Ltd. has been operating in this part of Visakhapatnam for a good stretch of time. It’s an industrial area, so it’s dusty and loud most of the day. We deal with metals and alloys. It’s hard work and the heat from the furnaces is something you never really get used to, but we manage. The crew here knows the routine. We start early, usually when the sun is just coming up over Andhra Pradesh. There are a lot of trucks moving in and out with raw materials and finished goods. We aren't trying to be anything we're not. We just make the alloys people order and try to keep the machines running right. Sometimes things break down and we have to spend all night fixing a line. That’s just part of the job. It’s not a glamorous business. You’ll find us in our gear, covered in some grime, making sure the specs are okay. Visitors usually have a bit of a drive to get here since it's outside the main city. We’ve got a small office at the front of the site where we handle the paperwork. It’s a straightforward setup. We don't have a PR team or anything like that. Just us workers and the metal. The rhythm of the factory is what keeps us going.
