Hindustan Zinc Limited

Our office is located at Wb-53, right inside the Hindustan Zinc Limited Colony here in Visakapatnam. It is a quiet enough spot compared to the busier parts of the city. Being in the colony makes things easy because most of the people we work with live just a short walk away. You can see the trees lining the roads and hear the birds in the morning before the day really gets started. We deal with all the daily operations for the plant from this building. It is a lot of checking lists, making phone calls, and making sure the trucks are moving where they need to go. Visakapatnam is a humid place, especially in the middle of the year, so we keep the fans going all day. The building itself is an older one, but it does the job. We don’t have any big corporate signs or fancy lobbies. It’s just desks, computers, and files. We’ve been here for years, so everyone knows the routine. Sometimes we have tea breaks outside when the weather is decent. It’s just regular people working here, trying to get through the daily tasks without too much fuss. We don't really talk about missions or visions; we just make sure the zinc gets processed and the paperwork is correct. It is a practical environment where everyone knows what they are supposed to do. Working in Vizag has its own rhythm, and we are just a small part of that. It works for us.
