G.R.Constructions

Our office is over in Autonagar, specifically in the Visweswarayya Colony area of Visakhapatnam. We are located in Block-22, Plot No. G, right in Mig-I. It is a busy industrial kind of area, so there is always noise from trucks and people moving things around. We’ve been here for a good bit now, working out of this spot as G.R.Constructions. My father, D.T. Prasad, started things off and we just keep it going. Construction is hard work and our office reflects that. It’s practical, with maps on the wall and plenty of dust from the nearby sites. We don't spend much on decorations because we’re usually out at a site or busy with the planning here. The chairs are a bit old but they do the job. When someone comes to see us, we usually just sit around the main desk and talk about the plans. There’s no big reception area or anything like that. We just focus on the building projects and making sure the supplies are where they need to be. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, but we just open the door for some air and keep writing. It’s a straightforward way to run a business. We like being in Vizag-12 because everything we need is close by in this colony. There’s a small shop near the gate where we get our snacks, which is convenient when we stay late. Sometimes we even have our meetings there when the office gets too hot.
