Geethanjali Kirana & General Stores

We are located at D.No-1-2-94 in the Gajuwaka area of Visakhapatnam. Our shop is right opposite Laxmi Chithanya Kirana, so if you find them, you’ve found us too. It’s a busy little spot. We spend most of our time weighing out grams of dal or sugar for the ladies who live in the apartments nearby. The shop isn't very big, so we have to stack things pretty high up to the ceiling. You’ll see boxes of biscuits and crates of soda bottles near the entrance. In the afternoons, when the sun is really hitting the front of the store, it gets quite warm inside. We usually have a small radio playing some old songs to pass the time while waiting for customers. Dealing with change is always a bit of a headache, especially when someone brings a big note for a small item. We try to keep a bit of everything, like cooking oil, spices, and laundry soap. The neighborhood is always moving, people going to work or coming back from the market. We've seen kids grow up coming here to buy their school notebooks. It’s just how things are at Geethanjali Kirana. We open up early and stay till late, usually closing up around nine or ten at night after the last few people get their dinner supplies. There’s nothing fancy about how we do things here, just basic daily work. We often have to rearrange the jars on the shelf to make room for new stuff.
