Satish Babu runs things here at the office in Susarla Colony. If you're looking for us, we’re at door number 58-22-15 in the Butchraju Palem area. Visakhapatnam is a busy place, and there is always something being built or fixed around here. The office is right in the middle of a residential spot, so it feels very much like a home. We have blueprints lying around and some heavy equipment parts sitting in the yard. It gets dusty because of all the construction work, but that’s just part of the daily job. We don't wear suits; usually, it’s just work boots and shirts that can get dirty. The humidity from the coast makes everything a bit sticky in the summer, but we just keep the windows open for a breeze. We’ve been part of this community for a long while. Neighbors know us by name, and we know the guys at the tea stall around the corner. We aren't some giant corporation based in a skyscraper. We’re just a local crew handling petroleum construction projects. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other days it’s quiet enough to hear the birds outside. We don't have a receptionist in a uniform. You just walk in and talk to whoever is at the desk. We focus on the pipes and the steel and making sure everything holds up. It’s hard work, but we really like it. We’ve been doing this long enough that it’s just second nature now.
