Apsrtc (Reservation Counter)

We are sitting here at the Old Gajuwaka spot right by the Nh-5. If you know Visakhapatnam, you know how busy this stretch gets with all the trucks and cars zooming past. This is the Apsrtc reservation counter. It is just a simple place where people come in to get their bus seats sorted. We spend most of the day looking at the screen and talking to people who are heading out of town. Sometimes the internet is slow and we just have to wait a bit. There is a lot of dust from the road outside because of the construction that never seems to end. The chairs inside are nothing special but they do the job for someone waiting. It’s mostly just us handling the books and making sure the numbers match up at the end of the shift. People walk in asking about times to Hyderabad or Vijayawada all day long. We have a small fan that hums in the corner and sometimes it gets quite hot in the afternoons. It isn't a fancy office with big glass windows or anything like that. It is just a room with a counter where the work gets done. Most folks around here know exactly where we are because they pass us every morning on their way to work. We’ve been at this Gajuwaka location for a while now and seen the road change quite a bit over the years.
