You can find us at Dabagardens, right on the second floor of the Hirawat Complex. The address is 30-15-166/2/1 if you are looking for it. It is a bit of a climb up the stairs, but it is a good spot in the middle of Visakhapatnam. We spend most of our time thinking about the students around here. Being in a place like Dabagardens means there is always a lot of noise and traffic outside. We started the Navyandhra Student Welfare Development Foundation because we felt the kids needed more support than they were getting. This isn't a shiny office with fancy carpets. It’s a real working space with papers stacked on desks and phones that ring at odd hours. We talk to students and their parents about all sorts of things. Some days it feels like we are barely making a dent, but we keep showing up anyway. Visakhapatnam is a big city and there is plenty of work to keep us busy. We don’t wear uniforms or suits. Most of us just wear what we’d wear at home. We drink a lot of tea while we talk through the daily problems. It’s all about the students at the end of the day. We have been in this building for quite a while now. The second floor gets a nice breeze when the windows are open. We just try to help out where we can without making a big fuss about it.
