Janatha Empowerment Association

Our group, the Janatha Empowerment Association, is tucked away in Visakhapatnam. We are over at 49-15-4, near where Gormella Ganeswara V Bhadra Narasimha Sharma stays. It’s a bit of a mouthful, but that’s where we are. We have been in Vizag for a while now. The city is growing so fast, sometimes it feels like the regular people get left behind. That’s why we started this. We wanted to make sure the local folks had a voice or just a place to ask for advice. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. Usually, you just walk in and talk to whoever is sitting at the desk. We use simple English and Telugu mostly. We don't like those long corporate documents that nobody reads. We keep our notes in regular notebooks. It’s practical work. We might be helping someone understand a form or organizing a small gathering for the neighborhood. It’s not always easy, and sometimes we run out of tea when visitors come, but we make do with what we have. Visakhapatnam is our home, and we just want to help our neighbors feel a bit more settled. We don’t have any grand slogans. We just show up at 49-15-4 and see what the day brings. It’s a bit messy sometimes, but that’s real life for you. We’re just local people trying to help out and keep things moving forward for everyone here in our little part of the city.
