Varatharaja Perumal Xerox Mini Offset Printing Travels

You can find us over on Alagarsamy Street, right near the Joseph Dental Hospital. It is a bit of a mouthful, but we do everything from Xerox copies to mini offset printing and even travel bookings. The shop isn't very large, so it can get a bit cramped when we have three people waiting for copies and someone else trying to book a bus ticket. We usually have the machines running all day long. The smell of ink and warm paper is something we are very used to by now. If the power goes out, we just have to wait it out like everyone else on the street. People coming from the hospital often stop in to get documents photocopied or to ask about train timings. We try to keep things organized, but there are always stacks of paper everywhere. Sometimes we are busy with a big printing job and the noise of the offset machine makes it hard to hear the phone. It is a family thing, so you will usually see one of us behind the counter from morning until late evening. We don't really have a lunch break, we just eat when the shop is quiet. It is a busy life but we like being right here in the middle of the local activity. We keep the travel brochures near the front so people can look while they wait for their prints. It helps to pass the time when there is a long queue.
