Our main office for Sree Jayajothi Cements Ltd is tucked away in a corner of Alagai Nagar. If you are familiar with Rajapalayam, you know it is a place where people really believe in hard work. We are located at door number 201. It is just a regular building where we handle all the daily activities for the cement business. This part of the Virudhunagar district can get incredibly hot in the summer, so we almost always have the old ceiling fan spinning at full speed while we check the delivery notes. There is always someone walking through the door with a question about a recent shipment or a price change. We do not use any of those complicated digital systems, just some big notebooks and an old computer that takes its time to start up. Cement is one of those basic things that people in this area always need, so the work never truly stops for us. We spend a lot of time talking to the truck drivers and the local builders to make sure everything gets where it is supposed to go. Sometimes there is a delay at the production plant, and we have to spend the whole afternoon explaining that to customers who are waiting to finish their projects. It is just a part of the daily routine. I have been working here for a long time and the people around Alagai Nagar are good neighbors to have. We see the same faces every morning when we open up.
