Sethu Institute Of Technology is situated out in Pulloor, near the Kariapatti(P O) area. It is a bit of a drive out from the main towns, which means it’s generally quite calm around the campus. I’ve been working here long enough to see the seasons change across the fields in Pulloor. The buildings are large and spread out, so you definitely get your steps in just going from one office to another. We are not a place that cares much for glossy photos or corporate talk. It is just a set of buildings in the countryside where people come to study. You might see a few goats wandering near the perimeter fence sometimes, which is just part of the charm of being in Kariapatti(P O). The canteen is where most of us end up at midday, sharing news and complaining about the heat. We don't have any high-tech security gates or fancy lobbies; it’s all very functional and basic. Most people who work here live in the nearby villages or take the college bus in every morning. It feels more like a community than a big institution sometimes. If you're coming to visit, just follow the main road until you see the signs for Pulloor. It’s a quiet life out here, but we like the pace of it. There is plenty of room to breathe and the air is much clearer than in the city. It is what it is.
