Sri Renuka Traders

Our spot at Sri Renuka Traders is right on South Street, specifically at number 191 on the Mettamalai Sanoli Road. If you know this area, you know it stays pretty active with people moving back and forth all day. We deal with various trading goods, and the shop is usually filled to the ceiling with boxes and bags. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes when a new shipment arrives. We’ve been here long enough that the neighbors stop by just to say hello or ask about the news. The floor is old wood and it creaks when you walk near the back counter. We keep a ledger for everything, though sometimes the handwriting is hard to read when we’re in a hurry. The traffic outside can get pretty loud, especially in the afternoons, so we usually keep the door halfway shut to keep some of the dust out. Working here isn't complicated, but it keeps us busy from morning until late. We don't have any fancy displays or bright lights. It’s just a regular trading business where we try to keep things fair and get the orders out as they come in. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside on the steps until it comes back on. It’s a simple way to make a living, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of this street over the years.
