R L Products is situated at 223/98 on Kamarajapuram 3rd Street in Sattur. If you are familiar with Sattur, you know it’s a place where people work hard. Our shop is right in the middle of a residential-meets-commercial area. It is a humble setup. We don't have a big storefront with lights. It is mostly just a place where we store and pack the products we handle. We’ve been here for a good amount of time now. The street can be narrow, so when the supply trucks come, it gets a bit tight with the neighbors' scooters. We know everyone on the block, so they don't mind too much. Most of our work involves checking inventory and making sure things are ready for the local markets. My nephew helps me with the heavy lifting and the deliveries. We don't use much technology besides a basic phone to take orders. It’s a bit dusty sometimes because of the local climate, but that’s just how it is. We don't try to be something we aren't. We just provide what people in the area need. Some days are slow and we sit outside on the bench talking to passersby, and other days we are working late into the evening. It’s a family-run thing, really. We don't have a mission statement or anything like that. We just open up in the morning and do our jobs until it's time to go home and rest.
