Our college is situated out on the Sivakasi Main Road, a bit of a distance from the center of Virudhunagar. Most people know the spot because it is a large campus and the buses are always moving in and out. Being in the 626005 area means it is quite hot most of the year, so you will see students looking for shade under the trees between their classes. We have several blocks for different engineering departments and the labs are usually full of students working on their projects. It is a very practical environment. We have old machinery in some labs and newer computers in others. The hostels are right here too, so the campus never really feels empty even late at night. The staff rooms are often cluttered with piles of student papers and old textbooks that have been passed down for years. We do not have a lot of luxury here, just the necessary equipment for learning how to build things and solve technical problems. The canteen is the main gathering point where everyone goes for tea and snacks when the lectures get too long. We have been here for a long time and have seen many batches of students come and go. It is a place of routine and hard work where we focus on getting the syllabus finished. The road outside is always busy with trucks, but inside the gate, things follow a steady, predictable pace every single day.
