Anandas (Boarding & Lodging)

You can find us at 295 on Tenkasi Road. This is where we offer boarding and lodging for travelers and people staying in the area for a bit. The building is right on the main road, so it’s easy to spot when you’re driving through. It’s a basic setup with rooms for people to sleep and get some rest. We spend our time checking people in, handing out keys, and making sure the rooms are ready for the next guest. It’s not a luxury hotel with a lobby full of flowers; it’s a practical place for people who need a bed. The noise from Tenkasi Road is pretty constant, with trucks and cars passing by at all hours. We’ve got a routine of cleaning and changing linens that keeps us moving. Some guests stay for just one night while they are traveling, and others stick around for a week or more if they have work nearby. We have a small desk where we keep the guest register. We talk to all sorts of people from different places, which is the interesting part of the job. Sometimes the plumbing acts up or a light bulb needs changing, so there’s always some maintenance to do. It’s just a regular boarding house. We try to keep it decent and clean so people have a comfortable enough stay before they head back out on the road. We’ve been at this location for years and it suits us fine.
