Working out here on an unnamed road in Kattu Kunankurchi is quite different from being in the city. It’s much quieter, though the sun can be really unforgiving in the afternoons. N L C India has been situated here for a bit now, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the place. There isn’t much around us besides the trees and the open space. Sometimes the road gets a bit rough after it rains, making it tricky for vehicles to reach us. We start early in the morning before the heat really sets in. It’s mostly just practical work, nothing too complicated. We don't have a big fancy office, just a place that serves our needs. Usually, we spend the day checking on things and making sure everything is running like it should. We get our supplies delivered, which can be a bit of a wait sometimes because of our location. You learn to be patient when you're out here. We drink water from the jugs we bring from home and take breaks under whatever shade we can find. It’s a simple life, away from the noise and the crowds. We don't really have neighbors to chat with, so we just focus on the tasks at hand. It’s honest work in a quiet part of the world. That’s just the way things go for us every single day. We don't need much else besides a bit of shade and some work to keep us busy and productive enough to feel like we did something good.
