Anbu Traders

If you head over to Veeran Covil in Neyveli, you’ll find Anbu Traders at number 12. We are pretty close to the temple, so we get to hear the bells and the general bustle of people coming and going for their prayers. It’s a good spot, even if the road gets a bit narrow when two big vehicles try to pass each other. Our building is a simple one, mostly filled with the stock we trade. We don't have a big showroom or any shiny displays. It’s just rows of bags and items that need to be sent out to customers. Most of the day is spent checking the weight of things and writing out notes. We use a lot of old pens and notebooks because that’s just how we’ve always done it. The air in Neyveli can be a bit dry, so we usually have a jug of water sitting on the counter for anyone who drops by. Sometimes the neighbors come in just to chat for a minute before heading back to their own shops. We like that part of being here. Trading isn't always exciting, but it’s steady work. We focus on getting the counts right and making sure the loaders don't mix up the piles. It’s a bit dusty, and the lights flickered once or twice last week, but it’s our place and we’re used to it. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
