S.B.P. Bricks. Works

S.B.P. Bricks. Works is tucked away in Village Borivali, which falls under P.O. Parol in the Tehsil of Vasai. We are out towards Virar East in the District of Palghar. It is a bit of a trek to get out here, but it is where the work happens. The environment is very rural, which helps when you need a lot of space for kilns and drying areas. We have been operating in the Palghar area for quite a while now. The routine is the same most days—mixing, molding, and stacking. It is hard on the back and the hands. We have a group of people who have been with us for a long time. We eat our lunch under the shade of the trees near the village. It is not a polished operation. There is dust everywhere and the sound of the tractor is constant. We get people coming from all over Vasai looking for bricks. The winters are better for work than the summers, which can be brutal under the sun. We spend a lot of time worrying about the wood for the kilns and if the fire is hot enough. It is a constant cycle of monitoring and moving. We are just a local business trying to keep up with the demand in the area. There is no corporate ladder here, just the ground we stand on and the bricks we make. We hope the rain stays away long enough for this next batch to dry.
