Oly Flavors

If you are looking for Oly Flavors, you have to find your way to Ym Chawl near Boling Naka. We are right on Agasi Road in Virar West, which is a place that never really seems to get quiet. The chawl has a lot of history and plenty of people living and working close together. It gets a bit cramped inside our space sometimes because of all the bags and containers we have to store, but we make it work. The smell of the spices and different things we mix here is quite strong, so you can usually tell where we are before you even see the door. We don't have fancy machinery; a lot of what we do is just by hand, measuring things out and making sure the bags are tied tight. My wife often helps with the packing in the evenings when the kids are done with school. It’s a small operation, just a few of us making sure things are done right. The floor is concrete and we have a couple of heavy fans to keep the air moving, though it still gets stuffy in the monsoon. People from the nearby buildings often pop their heads in to say hello or ask what we are working on today. We’ve been in Virar for years and we like it here, even with the noise from the Naka. It’s just how we earn our living, one day after another. We keep a small lamp lit near the door.
