Obm Masala

Obm Masala is located in the village of Ahiwas. We get our mail at the post office in Upari. It is a very different setting than the big cities, and we like the quiet pace of life here. We focus on making masala blends, and being in Ahiwas means we are close to the fields and the people who grow the ingredients. Our workspace is a modest building that used to be something else before we moved in. We have some basic machinery that we use for grinding the spices, and the whole place usually smells like cumin and coriander. It is dusty work, and by the end of the day, we are usually covered in a fine layer of spice powder. We don't have a street number because everyone in the village knows where Obm Masala is. If you ask anyone near Upari, they can point you in our direction. We don't have a website or do any online marketing. Most of our sales happen through local contacts and small shops in the nearby areas. It is a slow and steady way of doing business, but it suits us. Sometimes we have issues with the power or the weather affecting our drying process, but we just take it as it comes. We are just local people making something we know how to make well. Ahiwas is our home, and Obm Masala is our way of contributing to the village life.
