Being a pet clinic means things get pretty interesting around here. You never know if the next visitor will be a tiny kitten or a very large, nervous dog. The complex is a mix of different businesses and homes, so it has a real community feel to it. We don't have a slick, modern office. It’s more of a functional space where we can take care of animals. There are always leashes and carriers being moved around, and the floor needs cleaning pretty often. Dr Rahul Sankhe is usually busy in the back while the rest of us handle the front desk and talk to the owners. Virar can be a busy place, especially with the Mumbai commute, but our corner on Kala Hanuman Road stays relatively steady. We don't use any "best in town" slogans or fancy marketing tricks. We just show up, open the doors of Kalpa Prabha, and get to work. Sometimes it’s loud when a dog starts barking at a cat in the waiting area, but we’re used to it. It’s an honest, slightly messy, and very busy life at the clinic. We just focus on the animals and making sure the day goes as smoothly as possible.
