Agashi Road is where you’ll find the shop, specifically at Shop No. 14 in Baba Ground. It’s not a very big space but it works for what we do. Most of the day is spent on the phone or looking at the computer screen for bookings. People come in from the local area asking about bus tickets or car rentals for weddings and trips. Sometimes they just want to know the price for a taxi to the station. The walls have a few old calendars and some maps pinned up. The fan makes a bit of a clicking sound when it’s on high speed, which is pretty much all day. We have a couple of chairs for people to sit while we check the availability. Agashi Road gets quite busy in the evenings, so there is always noise from the street coming in. We keep a register for all the bookings, though most things are digital now. It’s a lot of coordination with drivers and making sure everyone knows where to go. Some days are slow and we just sit and drink tea, other days the phone won't stop ringing. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit from our spot here. It’s just us running the place, trying to make sure the vehicles are ready and the customers know their pickup times. It’s practical work and we stay until the last booking is sorted for the next day.
