Accountant Aarti Mukesh Joshi

I work out of Star Apartment in the Shripal Complex, which is on Shivaji Road in Virar West. It’s a typical residential complex, and my office is in B 108. Virar is quite a distance for those who work in the main city, but for me, it’s home. I handle accounting work for a variety of people. The office is small and feels a bit cramped when there are too many files around, which is often. I have a desk that is always covered in sticky notes and pens. The commute in the local trains is something everyone talks about here, but I’m glad I just have to walk a short distance to get to my desk. I don't have a big team or a polished corporate image. It’s just me, my computer, and a lot of patience for numbers. Sometimes the building gets a bit noisy with people coming and going, but that’s just part of being in an apartment complex. I spend my mornings going through the latest updates and my afternoons meeting people who need help with their filings. There’s a small balcony where I keep a few plants, though I often forget to water them when it gets busy. It’s a simple life of balancing books and making sure the math is right. I don’t do any big advertising; people usually just hear about me from someone else in the building. It is just steady, daily work.
