Out here in Osudu Agaram Village, you’ll find the Sree Lakshmi Narayana Institute Of Medical Sciences & Hospital. It’s quite a big place for being in the Villianur Commune area. We are tucked away near Kudupakkam Post. It’s a bit of a drive for some, but it’s where we are. The hospital is part of a larger institute, so there are students and doctors all over the place. You see them in their white coats walking between buildings. The air is a bit quieter out here than in the city. We have a lot of different departments spread out across the grounds. It can be a bit confusing if you’re new, but there are signs. People from the surrounding villages come here mostly. We see a lot of different cases every day. Some people are just here for a checkup, others stay longer. The wards are usually busy with families visiting. We have a lot of space, which is nice. Sometimes the cows from the village wander near the gate. It’s a very local feel even if the building is large. We keep things running as best as we can. It takes a lot of people to keep a place like this going. From the cleaners to the senior doctors, everyone has a job. We don’t have much time for fancy talk. There is always someone needing help or a student asking questions. That’s just life at the institute. It’s busy, but it’s home for us.
