M G M Tea Shop

M G M Tea Shop is located on North Street in Thirukoilure. It’s a pretty straightforward place. We’ve been operating out of this street for quite a while now. Thirukoilure has its own rhythm, and North Street is a big part of that for us. We see a lot of the same people every single day. Some are going to work, and others are just out running errands. We don’t have a flashy storefront with neon lights or anything. It’s just a regular door and some shelves with tea on them. We spend a lot of our time just organizing the different varieties we have in stock. The heat in this part of the country can be a lot sometimes, so we try to keep the shop as cool as we can. It’s a bit of a struggle, but we manage. Most of the work is just weighing out tea and talking to the locals who come by. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop around. We just want to do a decent job for the people in our town. My family helps out when things get busy, which is a big help. We’ve seen the street change over the years, but our shop stays mostly the same. It’s just a comfortable place for us to work. We don't do much in the way of big promotions. We just open up in the morning and wait for the regulars to show up.
