Dhakshu Acu Clinic

So we are here at No1 Dhanlakshmi in Villupuram, just a small acupuncture spot called Dhakshu Acu Clinic. It's not a big fancy place or anything like that. We started this because we wanted to help the people around here with their aches and pains. Most days, it's just neighbors coming in because their back hurts or they can't sleep right. You walk in and see the treatment beds and the needles we use. It’s pretty quiet inside, which is nice because the street can get a bit loud sometimes. We don’t really do much advertising. People just find us or their cousin tells them to come by. The clinic has been in this spot for a bit now, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the neighborhood. We open up in the morning, clean the floors, and wait for the first person to knock. Sometimes we are drinking tea when someone walks in, and we just get to work. It’s a very straightforward way of doing things. We use the old ways of acupuncture to see if we can make someone feel a bit better before they head home to cook dinner. There isn't any big corporate office behind us. It’s just us here in Villupuram trying to keep the doors open and do right by the folks who live on this side of town.
