Yatra Nova Aurovile Travel Agency is over at 1 Udaya Complex. If you know Auroville, you probably know where the Kuila Palayam water tank is. We are right across from it. The office isn't very big, but it’s where we do all our work. We spend most of the morning on the phones or checking computers for travel routes. Pondicherry 605101 is a busy area, especially with people coming in and out of the Auroville township. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow and we have to wait for pages to load while someone sits across the desk waiting. It’s a bit frustrating but that’s how things work sometimes. The water tank is a good landmark because otherwise, people might drive right past the complex without noticing us. We keep some brochures on the table, though they get dusty pretty fast with the road right there. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we usually have the fan going full blast. We mostly help people figure out how to get from one place to another without too much trouble. It isn't a glamorous job, just a lot of checking schedules and writing things down. We see a lot of different people every day. Some are locals and some are travelers who look a bit lost. We try to point them in the right direction. It’s just a regular travel office in a busy part of town and we like it.
