Three Travels

Our shop is right at the start of Ecr Main Road, number 1, over in the Auroville area. Being on the ECR means we see a lot of different people every day. There are tourists going to the Matrimandir and locals heading into the city for work. It is a fast road so you have to be careful when you are pulling in or out of the driveway. We have a small space here where we manage all the travel bookings for the day. It is nothing fancy, just some desks and a few chairs for people to wait while we find a car. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking the schedules on the computer. The air is a bit different here since we are near the Auroville trees and the coast isn't too far away. Sometimes it gets very busy in the tourist season and we are running around a bit more than usual. Other times it is quiet and we just sit and watch the bikes go by on the main road. We don't use any big words to describe what we do here. We just help people get a ride or a ticket when they need one. The building is easy to spot once you get to the Auroville turnoff. We have been here long enough that most of the regulars know us by name. It is a good spot to be, right where all the action is on the East Coast Road.
