Sri Sivasakthi Driving School

Sri Sivasakthi Driving School is situated at 112, Chennai Main Road in Ulundurpet. This is a busy stretch of road, which is actually quite good for people learning how to handle a car in real traffic. We have been sitting here for a long time, watching the town change around us. Our office is just a small room with some chairs and a desk where we handle the paperwork for licenses. Most of our day is spent out on the road rather than inside the office. We have a couple of older cars that we use for the lessons, and they have seen a lot of miles and a lot of stalled engines over the years. Learning to drive in Ulundurpet can be a bit stressful for beginners because of the trucks on the Chennai Main Road, but that is how you really learn. We don’t promise anything fancy, just that we will sit next to you and help you figure out the clutch and the gears until you get it right. It takes patience, and we have plenty of that. Sometimes the traffic is terrible and we spend most of the lesson just idling, but that is part of the job. People from all over the village come to us when they turn eighteen. We keep our records in big ledgers and the walls are decorated with old traffic sign posters that have turned yellow. It’s just us doing the daily grind.
