About Site Supervisor – Metals & Minerals in Villupuram
I started working as a site supervisor on Kamarajar St a while ago. Tirukoilur is a quiet place mostly, but the construction work keeps it busy enough for me. I spend most of my day at various sites in N.G.G.O Nagar checking on how the walls are coming up. It is a lot of standing around in the sun, making sure the sand delivery is actually the right amount and that the guys have what they need to keep working. My office is basically just a small room at 146, but I am rarely sitting there. Villupuram heat is no joke, especially in the afternoons when the sun is right overhead. Sometimes the cement truck is late and everything gets pushed back, which is frustrating, but that is just how it goes here. I have lived in this district for years, so I know most of the people who come by to help. It is not fancy work. We just look at the drawings and try to make sure the building looks like what the paper says it should. There is always dust on my shoes and on my phone screen. I spend a lot of time on calls with suppliers or just walking around the perimeter to check the levels. If it rains, we stop and wait it out under the plastic sheets. It is a simple routine, day in and day out. We do not have a big team, just a few of us making sure things do not fall behind.
