Shanmuga Stores

Shanmuga Stores is located on Kattukanur Road in Kalpattu. It’s a small local shop that’s been part of the village for quite some time now. We sell a variety of everyday items that people around here might need, like snacks, household goods, and small bits of hardware. The shop isn't very large, so we have to use every bit of shelf space we have to fit everything in. Sometimes it feels a bit cramped, especially when more than a couple of customers are inside at once. Kattukanur Road is where we are situated, and it’s a good spot for catching people as they go about their daily lives. We don't have a big corporate team or any fancy marketing strategies. It’s just a family-run business. We open the doors early in the morning and stay open until the sun goes down in the evening. A lot of our customers are neighbors we’ve known for years. They come in not just to buy things, but to have a quick chat about the weather or what’s happening around Kalpattu. We use a simple ledger to keep track of our sales at the end of the day. It’s a very traditional way of doing things, but it works for us. We don't try to compete with the big city stores. We just provide what we can to the local community. It is a quiet life, and we are happy to be a part of the road.
