Sathiya Soda Company

Sathiya Soda Company is a small shop, number 12/4, located on Amman Kovil Street in Kadali, Melmalayanur. It’s a quiet enough area most of the time, except when there’s something going on at the temple. Then the street gets filled with people and it’s very lively. We mostly spend our time with the soda machines and the glass bottles. You can always hear the clinking of glass around here. It’s a very local business. We don’t have any fancy corporate offices or big marketing plans. We just know everyone on the street and they know us. The shop is small, and it gets a bit cramped when we have a lot of crates delivered. We try to keep the floor clean, but with the soda and the water, it’s always a bit of a struggle. We’ve been here for years, and the building shows its age a little bit, but it’s home to us. The morning starts with getting everything set up before the sun gets too high in the sky. It’s manual work, and our hands are usually busy all day. We don’t use big words to describe what we do. We just make the soda, fill the bottles, and make sure they are ready for whoever needs them. It’s a simple, honest way to spend the day. If the machine breaks, we fix it ourselves and keep going. Local kids often stop by to see the bottles popping.
