We are located out at 35 Ananthapuram Village. It’s a bit quieter out here compared to the city, which we like. The shop is basically a large shed where we keep all our equipment and supplies. Being in a village means we know almost everyone who walks through the gate. We spend our days working on different mechanical parts and fixing whatever equipment the locals bring in. It’s a slow and steady pace most of the time. We don't have a computer in the shop; everything is done by hand or on paper. The floor is concrete and usually has some oil stains on it. We keep the big doors open to let the breeze in, otherwise it gets too hot. Sometimes a stray dog will come in and sleep in the corner while we work. We don't mind. We aren't trying to build an empire; we just want to do enough work to keep the lights on and help out the neighbors. Our tools are old but we take care of them. When the sun goes down, we lock up and head home. It’s a simple way to live and work. We don’t have fancy signs, just the name S R K Engineerings painted on the wall near the entrance so people know they’re at the right place. We also have a small bench outside for when folks need to wait and chat for a while.
