If you go down 2nd Main Road in Kr Nagar, you’ll find us at the very first spot, No: 1. Raj Stores has been part of the Virudhachalam community for quite some time now. It’s just a standard local store where we stock the things people actually use every day. We open up early in the morning because that’s when people like to get their shopping done before the heat kicks in. It’s a small team here, mostly just family and a couple of helpers. We know most of our customers by name since they live just a few streets over. The shelves are always full, sometimes a bit crowded, but we know where everything is. We don't have any fancy checkout systems or bright neon signs. It’s just a counter, some scales, and a lot of bags. Sometimes the delivery truck blocks the road for a minute while we unload, but the neighbors are patient about it. We try to keep the prices fair so people keep coming back. It’s not complicated. We buy what people need and we sell it from our shop on the corner. It gets a bit hectic on festival days, but usually, it’s just a steady stream of folks stopping by for a chat and a few items. We like being in Kr Nagar and being the place where neighbors meet up while they run their errands. It feels like home to us and we plan to stay.
